The Gospel of Creation

From Genesis to Revelation God declares Good News to us concerning His will and purpose in the Earth.  This Good News was concealed in the Old Testament books of the Bible and revealed through Jesus Christ as expressed in the New Testament books of the Bible.  Yet, now that the Good News of God’s will has been revealed, that which was once concealed in the Old Testament is now revealed to us by the Spirit of God who dwells within us.  So, now we can perceive the Good News of God’s will for all humanity clearly throughout every portion of Scripture beginning with the very first words recorded in the book of Genesis.  This same Good News is declared through the commandments that God gave Moses, and most clearly revealed in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ.  So, let us begin by examining the Gospel of Creation.

The book of Genesis begins with the words, “In the beginning”, and these three simple words happen to be very Good News.  First of all, consider that God is eternal, which means that He has no beginning and no end.  He exists completely independent from any other being or substance outside of both space and time.  He has need of nothing and no one.  Yet, He spoke and breathed these word: “In the beginning” in order to declare the Good News of His will concerning all of Creation.  With these words, “In the beginning”, God established TIME of which He had no need, because He is eternal.  Therefore, these words reveal and represent the Good News of Divine Appointment.

So, when God breathed the words “In the beginning”, He was declaring very Good News.  The prophet Zechariah wrote, “Do not despise these small beginnings” (Zechariah 4:10).  But I say to you, do not despise beginnings whether they appear small or large, ugly or beautiful, worthy or unworthy of celebration, because beginnings represent divine appointment, and they are Good News.  Likewise, let us not be like Job, who in the midst of his suffering desired the day of his birth to perish.  For regardless of the level of turmoil we encounter on our journey, the day of our birth was a beginning ordained by God and it is Good News.

God’s declaration, “In the beginning” was such Good News that He drew a line in the midst of eternity and called it TIME just to make room for us in HIS eternal existence.  Likewise, God drew shapes in the great never-ending expanse of His being that fills all and all and called it SPACE just to make room for us in HIS world.  And THIS is why “In the beginning” is such Good News!  These were the FIRST Words recorded in the Book, we call God’s Word, and these words represent DIVINE APPOINTMENT.

This Good News was concealed until Jesus came and revealed their relevance and the tremendous glory of their goodness towards us and all of mankind.  Jesus appeared to Paul and revealed this Good News to him.  As a result, Paul explained how God had “marked out (all) appointed times in history and the boundaries of (all) lands (or dwellings)” (Acts 17:26).

Yes!  Do you SEE the Good News all wrapped up in these God breathed words: “In the beginning”? They pertain to you and me!  God drew a line in eternity and established YOUR TIME and MY TIME!  He drew YOUR FORM and MY FORM in the great never-ending expanse of His being that fills all and all!  Therefore, we ought NEVER to despise our beginning!  I know how traumatic events can cause us to cry out in the midst of excruciating pain.  I know how such trauma can cause us, like Job, to desire to curse our beginning and to wish for death above life.  Believe me, when I say I know!  But hear me when I declare that REGARDLESS of the circumstance and trauma that you have faced or still face, YOUR BEGINNING is STILL Good News, because it is GOD BREATHED!  YOUR BEGINNING was a Divine Appointment established by God way back when He FIRST BREATHED “In the beginning…”!

Let me also express that we ignorantly curse our beginning and we commit SUICIDE when we FAIL TO LIVE the very purpose for which God drew a line in eternity calling it OUR TIME and drew OUR FORM in the great never-ending expanse of His being that fills all and all!

So, I declare to YOU that YOUR BEGINNING was God breathed.
It was a Divine Appointment, and it is Good News!
