Habitation

What does God desire?
What does God require?
But true communion
And true union
Becoming ONE
In His Son
Who builds a HABITATION
Among the nations
A holy relation
With the God of creation
Lively stones
Built together as His home
He went away
He did say
To prepare a place
A set apart space
For us to dwell
So, He explained, "All is well."
But that was only half the story
It gets better, never boring!
He said, "I will build My qahal
As though Adam never did fall.
A place for Us (Elohim) to dwell
A living tabernacle and well
That never runs dry
And she doesn't even have to try
Cause We (Elohim) will fill her
And instill her
With Our very essence
And she will carry our presence."
That's the other half of the story
I told you it never gets boring
We need not wait
For some appointed day
Our time is now
It's time to live out loud
The vision of Heaven
The perpetual day called Seven
Enter His rest
Experience His best
And never less
Than HABITATION
As His set apart nation
Cause that's what God desires
And that's what God requires
True communion
And true union
Becoming ONE in the Son
Who builds a HABITATION
Among the nations
One lively stone upon another
Building up our sisters and brothers
Regardless of apparent differences
Tear down the fences
Let go defenses
It's time to build
It's time to be filled
With God's essence
And presence
As one holy HABITATION
And one holy nation
Built up to reveal glory
And proclaim redemption's story
Christ revealed IN a people
Christ manifested THROUGH a people
No more man made steeples
But a city built by Christ alone
And a people become God's home!
