Even While Standing in the Hardest Place - Spoken Word

Romans 8:17-19 - "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." (KJV)

Even While Standing in the Hardest Place

Are you standing in a hard place
Longing to see the face of God?
Are you standing in a hard place
Desperately wanting to erase
the pain and the scars of your heart?
Are you standing in a hard place
One that you can’t even trace,
Cause God’s presence seems so far?
You don’t even know where you are,
And everything just seems marred.
The more you dig beneath the surface
Searching for His purpose
Is the more you realize,
“This must be my demise
Cause this hard place just doesn’t seem to fit my size.”
Here’s a word to the wise…

I too am standing in a hard place
Longing to see the face of God
I too am standing in a hard place
Desperately wanting to erase
The pain and the scars of my heart.
I too am standing in a hard place
That I can’t even trace,
Cause God’s presence seems so far,
I don’t even know where I are,
And everything just seems marred.
The more I dig beneath the surface
Searching for His purpose
Is the more I realize
“This must be my demise,
Cause this hard place just doesn’t seem to fit my size.”
So, I too am searching for a Word to make me wise…

And I’m beseeching God to give me His eyes
So that I can SEE
As He SEES…

Adonai, I’m not here asking you why,
But I’m asking You to give me the eyes
Of Abba’s Heart
Even as my heart is breaking apart
So that I can SEE all things
As they really be
Give me the eyes of the mind of Christ
So that I too can willing pay the price
Of laying down my life as a living sacrifice
Give me the eyes of the Spirit
So that when I’m standing in the hardest place
I don’t even fear it
And when You speak, I can distinctly hear it.

Adonai, I pray that this hard place
Truly BE my demise
So that I can finally rise
With resurrection power
Fulfilling Your purpose for this hour
For I know, when I look upon my Savior’s face
All my sorrow will erase
In the light of His grace
Even while standing in the hardest place.
