Living on the Other Side of the Cross - Spoken Word

Dear Religion,
I’ve made my decision
I am living on the other side of the cross
I’m not lost
I’m just living on the other side of the cross

I’m living in my finished place
Where for you, there is no space
I’m no longer standing where we first met
But I won’t forget
The journey thus far
Of discovering who we are
We are not the same at all
That’s why I no longer hear your call
I’m no longer weeping at the foot of the cross
Where I first tossed
All my cares
And became aware
Of my position there
I’m no longer traveling through the cross
Where I became no longer lost
On my journey
Because Christ’s fire kept burning
On the inside
And I realized I had already died
With Him before my entrance into Earth space
And I wasn’t even a special case
It may sound strange, but I remember
And I’ve become Truth’s defender
He became humanity
Erasing all vanity
From our hearts
So, we’d never be apart
From Him
Love sure did win
A tremendous victory
The rest is history
So, I moved on in my journey
All the while discerning
That the space between my now and then
My present and has been
Is what distanced me
From our previously
Shared perception
And caused painful rejection
Even from those I purposed to love and treasure
Without measure
For the rest of my days
Because Religion, you hate the blaze
Of unquenchable fire
That opposes your desire
To tame it
So, you blame it
On everything but the truth of the matter
We either gather or scatter
Jesus said it
And then He bled it
As He gathered all humanity into His bosom
And became the womb
Of Eternal Life
Making us His wife
So, I had no choice but to move forward
Closer and closer toward
The other side of the cross
And here I am, not lost
But actually found
And unbound
No longer tied to a religious token
Cause I’ve awoken
To the resurrection of my inner man
Something Religion, you’ll never understand
Having died and risen with Christ
I’ve headed His advice
To be continually born again
And to go wherever He sends
Cause I’m never alone
I’ve found my home
And it’s on the other side of the cross
Christ as me, and I as Him
Love always wins

So, Religion,
I’ve made my decision
I am living on the other side of the cross
I’m not lost
I’m just living on the other side of the cross.

Oh God, Thou Art My God!

Oh God, Thou Art My God!
Psalm 63:1-2

Oh God, Thou art My God!
Oh God, Thou art My God! (Repeat)

Oh God, Thou art My God!
Early will I seek Thee
Cause my eyes longeth to see Thee.
I seek Your face.
I seek Your grace.
I seek the outpouring of Your presence in this place.
My soul thirstth for Thee.
My flesh longeth for Thee.
A whole lot more of Thee
And less of me.
I’m living in a dry and thirsty land
And I know this isn’t Your perfect plan.

Oh God, Thou art My God!
Oh God, Thou art My God! (Repeat)

Oh God, Thou art My God!
I’m Your daughter
Crying out for Living Water.
Let it rain
And transform this wilderness terrain.
I long to see Thy power and glory
As I’ve seen You in the sanctuary.
I know Your presence isn’t buried,
Cause You and I are married,
And You’ve called me to carry
Your presence and glory
As a demonstration of Your redemption story.

Oh God, Thou art My God!
Oh God, Thou art My God! (Repeat)

Militant Soldier - Spoken Word

Militant Soldier
Written by Christine Lombard ("C. Love")
Dedicated to My Mother, Prophetess Vera E. Paul

CHORUS
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier.

I’m takin’ authority
And givin’ God all the glory (3Xs).

I took a warrior’s pact
To stand in the gap
And counter the devil’s attack
So, he betta’ step back.
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier.

I’m takin’ authority
And givin’ God all the glory (3Xs).

VERSE
In the days of my youth
I strayed from the Truth
The devil had my mind
I was walkin’ dead and blind.
Many years passed by
I preferred to die
Than continue to lie
In the devil’s pit
I had no power to resist.
I was livin’ a lie,
But Jesus still heard my cry.
God sent a valiant soldier
Cuz I done did told ya
I was powerless to fight,
Lost in the darkness of night
I was in the devil’s grasp
My deliverance was no simple task
He held on tight
With all his might
Till little by little, step by step
The devil’s challenge was met
Finally, the chains were broken
This spoken word is just a token
Of my attitude
Of immeasurable gratitude
For the valiant soldier
Whom I done did told ya
Fought the good fight
To set my life right
Now it’s my turn
To let my heart burn
As I carry my sword and shield
On the battle field
As I fight the good fight
To set others’ lives right.
Now I’m God’s answer to others’ cries.
So, for freedom I must live and not die

CHORUS
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier.

I’m takin’ authority
And givin’ God all the glory (3Xs).

I took a warrior’s pact
To stand in the gap
And counter the devil’s attack
So, he betta’ step back.
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier, a militant soldier
Listen up cuz I done did told ya’
I’m a militant soldier.

I’m takin’ authority
And givin’ God all the glory (3Xs).

So Much More - Spoken Word

So Much More

Written January 23, 2011

Salvation is so much
More than a religious crutch
So much more than such and such
More than sayin’ a sinners prayer
More than blowin’ hot air
More than emotional tears
And hell stained fears
More than cryin’ eyes
And sorrowful lies
More than stuffy noses at the altar
And dippin’ in baptismal waters
More than playin’ church
More than bein’ first
To dig inside your pocket or purse
More than givin’ tithes
Or one’s offerin’ size
More than a shout and dance
More than pomp and circumstance.

Just sit back, relax
Let’s get to the facts
This is a direct attack
On all religious smack.

Oh!  I used to talk a good talk
But my crippled legs couldn’t walk.
I used to speak religious smack
All the while, my mind was wacked
I had no power
So I would simply cower
Behind a religious mask
Pretendin’ was my favorite task.
I searched out religion
Repeatin’ my decision
To search for salvation
At every church station
I could possibly find
While the devil controlled my mind.
Could no one help me?
Could no one see
My painfully dismal reality?
I knew all the right words
Lookin’ back it seems absurd.
Salvation standin’ so close
Yet, I remained a withered up rose
With little life, but a whole lot of thorns
But oh!  How I wanted to be reborn!
So close, yet so far away
So I just continued to pray
The best way I knew how
Even when no one else was around
To hear my lamenting sound.

I did NOT find salvation
In a church denomination
I did NOT find salvation
At ANY church station
I found HIM in the strangest place
Cuz mine was a SERIOUS case
I found Him while seeking His face
And religion was finally erased!
I found HIM in RELATIONSHIP
A long distance trip
Out of a terrible maze
That took YEARS longer than days.
I could not find my own way
Cuz my mind was so prone to stray.
So, God sent me a spiritual Mother
That could PRAY like none other!
Yes, God sent me a mentor
None other than God could have sent her
So that I could finally enter
The Door of Life
That led me out of religious strife.
It took DEEP intercession
For me to taste of Salvation’s blessin’!
Through prayer, the chains were broken.
Finally, from death I awoken
To find True Salvation
And join a Kingdom nation!

Salvation is so much
More than a religious crutch
So much more than such and such
SALVATION IS RELATIONSHIP
A long distance trip
Out of a terrible maze
That often takes YEARS longer than days.

Do you know HE
Who died on a tree?
I intercede
Oh, how I plead
For those who desperately need
To grow
To know
Salvation is so much
More than a religious crutch
So much more than such and such
SALVATION IS RELATIONSHIP
A long distance trip
Out of a terrible maze
That often takes YEARS longer than days.
Salvation is all about JESUS
Not about people pleasers
Salvation is all about JESUS,
The True Salvation Station
Not about church denomination
Cuz Jesus IS the One and Only
Restorer of the lost and lonely
SALVATION IS RELATIONSHIP
A long distance trip
Through a Wonderful DOOR
To Life Eternity and religious sorrow no more!
